Scarborough Mere, Saturday 12 January

My best shots of Kingfisher to date albeit still distant. The pictures do show the distinctiveness of the electric blue flash down the back.

Also further shots of the Gadwell present and a female Tufted Duck close to hand.

All taken at very high ISO in poor light, again!

You've done well Mike to get a Kingfisher shot at the mere - very flighty unless being viewed from a hide.

If you want to backdate a post, go into edit, and on the bottom left you'll see 'post options' - click on here to change the date/time of the post.

I was very lucky, again!
When we parked up the bird landed on a post at the end of the Jetty.
It then moved up the right hand side of The Mere and as we walked round it moved ahead of us.
Whilst very distant I was pleased to manage a picture.
Thanks for the tip about postings.
